Preventive memory
Definition : Preventive memory
A preventive brief, is a request for protection that can be filed before the Unified Patent Court.
An entity may decide to file such a preventive brief when there is a request for Provisional Measures against it.
It is a preventive statement of defense that must be taken into account by the judge in making a decision on the provisional measures requested, in accordance with Rule 209(1)(d) of the Rules of Procedure of the Unified Patent Court.
