Our primary mission is to advise you on the best strategy for protecting your innovations. There are many ways to protect your intellectual creations. When it comes to inventions, patents are not the only option. In some cases, it may be wise to opt for contractual protection of know-how or a utility certificate.
In many cases, it is advisable to adopt a “360” strategy that combines secrecy (particularly NDAs) with the various areas of intellectual property (patent law, trademark law, design law, and copyright law) to ensure optimal protection for your innovations.
For example, the source code of a software program will be protected by copyright, while its functions may be protected by patents. However, in some cases it may be more appropriate to take action for parasitism.
