It comprises two branches: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dhenne-avocats.fr\/en\/intellectual-property-glossary\/copyright\/\" target=\"_self\"><strong>literary and artistic property<\/strong><\/a>, which concerns <strong> intellectual works <\/strong>, is made up of copyright and neighboring rights; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dhenne-avocats.fr\/en\/intellectual-property-glossary\/industrial-property\/\" target=\"_self\"><strong>industrial property<\/strong><\/a>, concerns, on the one hand, utilitarian creations, such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dhenne-avocats.fr\/en\/intellectual-property-glossary\/patent\/\" target=\"_self\"><strong>patent<\/strong><\/a> and the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dhenne-avocats.fr\/en\/intellectual-property-glossary\/plant-breeders-certificate\/\" target=\"_self\"><strong> Plant Variety Certificate<\/strong><\/a>, and, on the other hand, distinctive <strong>signs<\/strong>, notably <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dhenne-avocats.fr\/en\/intellectual-property-glossary\/brand\/\" target=\"_self\"><strong>trademarks<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dhenne-avocats.fr\/en\/intellectual-property-glossary\/domain-names\/\" target=\"_self\"><strong>domain names<\/strong><\/a> and the <strong>appellation of origin<\/strong>. These rights enable creators and rights holders to control the use of their creations and receive remuneration for their use.
